Deoxidation of Graphene using Caffeic Acid

چکیده

The graphene which is a two dimensional carbon structure has been significantly explored due to its excellent mechanical and physical properties. Based on its prominent properties, graphene has a wide range of useful applications. Among the methods for synthesizing graphene, chemical method is known as the most powerful method for mass production of graphene. During the process, to achieve high electrical conductivity, reduction of the graphene is usually conducted. However the general reducing agents such as hydrazine (N2H4) and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) are harmful and toxic. In this study, we study a bio anti-oxidant as a reducing agent instead of the strong chemicals. The bio anti-oxidant is environmentally safe and relatively more effective for the reduction of graphene oxide. Keywords—Graphene, Graphene oxide, Antioxidant, Deoxidation, Caffeic Acid
